Followap and Cellcom sign agreement to integrate IM and Presence into Cellcom's network
Cellcom becomes an early operator customer, integrating Followap's instant messaging and presence platforms directly into its network.
Followap™, a leading provider of end-to-end mobile messaging and presence solutions for mobile operators today announced that it will provide Cellcom, the largest cellular-communications operator in Israel with its Mobile Instant Messaging (MIM) and Presence platforms. In parallel, Followap will use Cellcom's mobile infrastructure to develop future IM-related products.
Followap's MIM platform iFollow™ will enable Cellcom to deliver branded and customized cutting-edge messaging services. iFollow will allow Cellcom's 2.3 million subscribers real time intuitive communication using mobile phones, computers or any other mobile devices. Users will be able to see whether their friends and family members are online and available for communication, and communicate with them using textual messages or voice. In the future, users will also be able to locate their friends.
