Comprehensive Presence Management - iFollow 3.0 enhances the presence management capabilities of iFollow 2.2, a breakthrough platform for creating mobile communities. iFollow optimizes the control an operator has over how presence information is collected, managed and shared. The operator, as well as presence-based services and individual users, can define rules and policies regarding presence-information privacy, searching, subscriptions, provisioning, contact lists, user profile attributes and other aspects of presence management.
iFollow is compliant with the 3GPP, OMA and IETF presence standards. Supporting the New Generation of IMPS Devices - iFollow allows the operator to enable new IMPS devices with Presence capabilities.
The introduction of such devices is expected to dramatically boost the use of presence-based services. 2G-2.5G-3G Network Presence Detection - iFollow 3.0 can use the iFollow Presence Detection Agent to obtain accurate and optimized presence detection across various mobile networks. The Presence Detection Agent can be customized to control the precision of presence information and the effect presence detection has on the network, and uses industry-standard interfaces to extract information from the network. It takes full advantage of the opportunities IMS provides for presence detection, as well as integrating with legacy networks, enabling reliable presence detection today. iFollow 3.0 can also utilize presence detection modules provided by 3rd parties.
Standards-based Product - iFollow supports the OMA-IMPS protocol for client-server and server-server connectivity, as well as providing SIP/SIMPLE and XMPP interfaces for interoperability purposes. This enables operators to communicate with other communities, expanding their user-base and boosting user traffic.
